According to Electronista, the 2342BWX has enough desktop real estate space to fit two letter sized documents side by side – perfect for blogging folks like myself. Other specs to the 2342BWX include a 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a 5ms gray to gray response time. Here’s the cool part – the 2342BWX is priced at $295! Unfortunately it’s only currently available in Korea although international release dates are likely.

It certainly does feel like things are changing for the better at Dell doesn’t it? They’ve been unleashing one solid product after another over the last few months – many of which are beautifully designed products. The latest addition – the recently introduced Dell Crystal 22 inch widescreen flat panel monitor. This monitor certainly makes me wish I didn’t recently purchase the HP w2207 22 inch monitor. Why you might ask? It’s simple really – it’s just one beautiful looking monitor. The LCD panel and integrated side speakers appear to float literally right on the 4 mm tempered glass – but that’s not all. There’s the integrated webcam that sits flush with the display, the single cable coming out of the back of the display, and the capacitive touch controls that reside on the front.

Specs include:

22 inch widescreen display with 1680 x 1050 resolution at 60Hz

Ultra-clear tempered glass measuring 4mm thick

Capacitive touch controls

Integrated audio speakers

270 cd/m2 brightness

98 percent color gamut

2000:1 contrast ratio

160 degree viewing angle

2ms response time

DVI/HDMI with HDCP, Subwoofer out, USB, Power cable – all bundled into a single cable

Tilts 2 to 15 degrees backward

Measures 16.55 x 26.2 x 7.09 inches

Prices for the Dell Crystal start at $1199. OK.. so maybe I wouldn’t have purchased this monitor given the higher stick price.. but at least I would have considered it briefly! Again, the Dell Crystal looks very very sweet in person.
