You’ve seen them in use by the paranormal investigators of “Ghost Hunters” – now you can use them too for home security. FLIR Systems will be rolling out two new thermal dome cameras at CES 2009 – the VSR-6 and the D-19. Thermal cameras are great for all hours of the day but are especially useful for low light conditions where typical video cameras often provide grainy footage.

  • 6.3 mm lens
  • Digital Detail Enhancement for optical image quality
  • NTSC or PAL composite video out for network integration

  • Easy integration into existing security and safety camera networks

Eikon To Go

If you wish your computer had a fingerprint reader, now you can add one thanks to the introduction of the new UPEK “Eikon To Go” portable fingerprint reader. The reader is available now for $49.99 and supports both Windows and OS X. Windows users will be able to lock their PCs, remember passwords, encrypt files, and launch applications with a swipe of their finger. Mac OS X users can lock their systems, switch between user accounts, unlock Keychain and authenticate to Secure Preferences with a swipe of their finger.
