Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 to launch end of Oct 2010
Those of you waiting for the next version of Microsoft Office for the Mac will be thrilled to hear that Office 2011 is due to launch at the end of October in more than 100 countries around the world. Office for Mac 2011 will be available in two editions for retail – Office for Mac Home and Student 2011 and Office for Mac Home and Business 2011.
Microsoft Office for Mac Home and Student 2011 includes Word for Mac, PowerPoint for Mac, Excel for Mac, and Messenger for Mac and will be available in two editions – a single install for $119 and a family pack with three installs for $149.
Microsoft Office for Mac Home and Business 2011 includes Word for Mac, PowerPoint for Mac, Excel for Mac, Outlook for Mac, and Messenger for Mac. Two editions will also be available here – a single install for $199 and a Multi-Pack for $279 with two installs.
Additionally, Microsoft will also offer Office for Mac Academic 2011 which will include Word for Mac, PowerPoint for Mac, Excel for Mac, Outlook for Mac, and Messenger for Mac. Pricing for the Academic version will be $99 dollars at authorized academic stores.
Finally, if you purchase Office 2008 for Mac between August 1st, 2010 and Nov. 30th, 2010, you will be eligible for a free upgrade to Office 2011. You’ll need to register for the program at http://www.microsoft.com/mac/techg.
