and I decide to upgrade my blog engine to WordPress 2.3.. and all hell breaks loose.

Yes.. I have no one to blame but myself of course because I did not exactly follow the directions on the upgrade process - or more importantly, I did not deactivate all of my WordPress plugins prior to the upgrade. So what happened? Well the upgrade didn’t exactly finish and as a result, things got foobarred.. sigh..

So what disastrous thing occurred? All of Krunker’s postings are uncategorized.. yes.. all 5500+ postings have no categories.. (ok. maybe 4800 now). I spent the better part of last night applying categories to as many of the latest postings and man.. it’s tiring. Soo… do yourself a favor and make sure to deactivate those plugins. Follow the instructions (yes.. RTFM!).

Ugh..

Well it’s been awhile hasn’t it?

I know.. I practically disappeared off the face of the blogging world but now I’m finally back and ready to get back to work.

So where did I go?

Quite honestly, I needed a break from all of this. Those who know me, know that I’ve been going through some personal issues that needed to be resolved and hence, blogging was the last thing on my mind. Are my issues resolved? Not at all but things have at least become somewhat manageable. In the meantime, I’ve decided to get some sense of order back into my life and well.. I’ll be back working on Krunker.

I actually meant to start working on the site this past weekend but hey - when it rains, it pours right? So to that end, I had my main workstation practically die on me this weekend. Actually, it’s been slowly dying over the last few months and this time it finally decided to give out. POS!!!

So there I was.. without a desktop system.. what was I going to do? I certainly was not going to build a new system since I didn’t have the time nor was I willing to shell out a lot of cash for new components. In fact, I was THIS close to getting a Mac Mini.. but alas.. reality set in and I decided to pick up a new HP Pavilion Slimline s3200n desktop from BestBuy for $514. I love the box.. but I wish I had a wee bit more memory (had to purchase 2GB of memory from Newegg last night b/c I couldn’t stand the swapping anymore).

As you can imagine, be ready for a review on this machine shortly. In the meantime, I’ve got A LOT to catch up with including a number of late product reviews. Hopefully, I’ll also resolve my personal issues along the way .. but we shall see. In any event, there’s nothing like getting back to work to keep someone on the straight and narrow.

Soo.. without further ado.. I am back.

After a few days in New York City, I’m back in Los Angeles so I’ll try and catch up with news postings from around the web and of course the world. :) Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend! One note from the weekend - I did manage to finally get a chance to check out the Apple store over on 59th and 5th ave, and my goodness that’s a huge store! It’s actually amazing how many people go through that store at any given moment in time. You have to hand it to Apple for making a computer store an attractive place to visit and hang out. Geez - I think there were more people at the Apple store on a Saturday afternoon than in all the CompUSA stores in Manhattan combined  (that was just a guess of course.. but perhaps a good guess). Anyhow, I’m back in town so get ready for a slew of reviews and articles over the next several weeks. I’ve got a ton of products to go over (thanks to the vendors that sent us items - we’ll be catching up with them soon!!!)

Hey Krunker Readers - I hope all of you are doing well. Just an FYI - I’m out of town in NYC this weekend so news postings from me will be few and far between. However, our awesome intern, Michael, will be handling as much as he can along the way. I’ll try and throw in some blurbs while I’m out here anyhow. In any event, have a wonderful weekend all of you!
