The new LG-GD910 is the world’s first “market-ready” touch watch phone with 3G video telephony (VT) service and GSM network capabilities – at least that’s what LG claims.

On the outside, the 3G Touch Watch looks like a high end watch thanks to the use of materials and elements typically found in watches from top manufacturers. The watch features a curved tempered glass face, high quality metal casing, and measures a mere 13.9 mm thick.

All this beauty hides one technological beast. You get the following specifications:

Bluetooth 2.0 support

RF Band : 850/900/1800/1900, WCDMA 2.1GHz, 1900MHz

Supports text messages, making phone calls, and of course telling time

Voice recognition features

Built-in speaker

Flash Interface

built-in MP3 player

Voice calling

Text-to-speech functionality

Built-in phonebook and scheduler

The LG 3G Touch Watch will be coming out in Europe by the end of the year with Orange being the first to offer the phone to its customers.

Thinking about getting a new watch for yourself or that loved one? Check out the new Tokyoflash Heko watch – a watch that will 1) surely catch someone’s attention and 2) will make you or that person wonder – “how the heck do you tell time from this thing?”

Well if you must know, I’ve attached a screenshot of the instruction manual below.

The watch is broken down into three sections. Here’s what the product page says on telling time:

“Hours are presented on the upper screen. The hours three, six, nine and twelve in the same positions as on a clock face. Hours one and two are in between, a combination of lit LEDs show the hour.

Minutes are presented on the center and lower screens. The lower screen shows zero, fifteen, thirty and forty-five minutes in the same position as on a clock face, the LEDs in between show five minutes each. The central screen presents four single minutes, a combination of lit LEDs show the minutes.”

Other features of the Heko include:

Polished stainless steel design

Mirrored lens finish

Wraps around your wrist like a bracelet

Water resistance of up to 3ATM

You can buy the Heko for $109.42 – not too bad of a price…

Wish you can talk into your watch like Dick Tracy does in the comics? Turtle Wireless is working hard to fulfill that dream with the introduction of the TW801 tri-band wearable GSM mobile phone/watch to the North American market. The TW801 looks (somewhat) like a wristwatch except it has features like a touch screen display, Bluetooth capabilities, MP3/MP4 playback support, WAP/GPRS compatibility, a camera, and of course, mobile phone capabilities. There’s 512MB of internal memory on the watch but you can also slide in TransFlash memory cards for up to 2GB of additional storage space. The TW801 has a talk time of three hours and a standby time of 160 hours. With support for GSM 850/1800/1900, the TW801 will work with AT&T, and T-Mobile. Yet more importantly, the TW801 will be sold unlocked for a price of $249.00. Expect to see it starting on June 16th.

Athletes looking for a more convenient way of controlling their iPods during workouts will be happy to hear that Timex has announced their new Ironman iControl “Music in Motion” watch. This advanced sports watch is capable of wirelessly controlling your Apple iPod – even iPhone’s in airplane mode.

One look at the Timex iControl and it’s clear it’s a sports oriented watch (we doubt you’d want to wear this out on a date or a night out on the town). However, if you need to go on a run or you want to take a quick swim then the iControl is perfect for those activities. The iControl wirelessly connects to your iPod using a bundled wireless receiver which attaches to the iPod’s dock connector. Once attached, the iControl can control the following iPod functions: play/pause, volume up/down, and track forward/back.

Other features of the Timex iControl include:

50 lap memory recall chronograph

Training log stores your current workout with date, best lap, and average lap

Multi-mode countdown timer

2 interval timers for speed and endurance training

3 customizable alarms for daily, weekday, and weekend settings

INDIGLO night-light with NIGHT-MODE feature

3 year battery life

100m water resistance

The Timex Ironman iControl watch is available in combinations of gray and black, as well as pink, blue, orange, and green. The MSRP is $125.00. The watch is currently out of stock on the Timex website but it does have a ship date of 8/10.
