Forerunner110mw

If you’re a runner and you’re looking for an easy-to-use affordable way to track your running progress, then you’ll want to check out the newly announced Garmin Forerunner 110 sports watch.

The Forerunner 110 is designed to be an entry-level watch allowing users to easily track progress and goals in exercise and training. Aside from displaying time and distance, the 110 allows users to see their pace in one of two ways – averaged out either over the current lap/mile or over the duration of the run.

Other features of the Forerunner 110 include:

  • Coupled with the Garmin Heart Rate Monitor, the 110 displays current heart rate data and heart rate-based calorie computation
  • Simplified menu system helps users review run data, change auto-lap, set alarms, or edit user profile
  • Water-resistant
  • Slimmer than other GPS enabled watches on the market
  • SiRFstarIV GPS receiver with Garmin HotFix technology allows for quick acquisition and sustained satellite reception
  • 8 hour battery life in GPS/training mode
  • Three weeks in power-save mode
  • Store and display up to 200 hours of saved history
  • Upload workout data to Garmin Connect

The Forerunner 110 is available in three color combinations – black/gray, charcoal/red, and gray/pink. Garmin will be offering the Forerunner 110 at the Boston Marathon Expo from April 15-18. If you can’t get it them you’ll be able to pick it up at retailers after May of this year.
