Turtle Beach introduces Amigo II and Micro II USB audio adapters
As we mentioned a few weeks back, Turtle Beach officially announced the introduction of their new Amigo II and Micro II USB audio adapters today. New additions to their Audio Advantage product line, the Amigo II and Micro II are inexpensive ways to add audio in a form factor about the size of a USB memory stick.
The Amigo II USB sound card adds a stereo output and microphone input to both PCs and Macs. Stereo output can be used for connecting powered speakers, headphones, or external recording devices. Microphone input can be used to connect external mics, or a boom microphone from a headset.
The Micro II USB sound card adds a stereo line output and an optical digital audio output (TOSLINK) to either a PC or a Mac. The digital connection allows pass through of any 5.1 channel Dolby Digital or DTS surround sound to a home theater system.
Both devices work without the need for external power adapters, drivers, or special software – just plug in and go. Expect availability in January with each device priced at $24.95.
