Toshiba introduced their latest mobile projector today called the TLP-XE30U featuring  3LCD technology, 3,000 ANSI lumen brightness, and a new “blackboard” wall color adjustment feature which allows the projector to project images onto non-screen surfaces (like a blackboard). The key features and specs of the TLP-XE30U are as follows:

  • Blackboard function allows presentations on non-screen surfaces. Users select wall color, such as green, black, brown, blue, or beige, and the projector automatically corrects the color for a clearer display
  • Quick power shutdown - projector can be powered off once disconnected from outlet
  • Automatic Vertical Keystone Correction
  • One-touch auto setup
  • Digital Zoom
  • 4.3 aspect ratio
  • XGA (1024 x 768) resolution
  • 600:1 contrast ratio
  • D-sub 15, S-video, RCA inputs

The Toshiba TLP-XE30U is available now for a suggested price of $1119.

satellite m300

Toshiba rolled out the Satellite M300 to the Korean market sporting a new red colored chassis and high glossy keyboard look. The M300 has a 14.1 inch TruBrite widescreen display, integrated Harman Kardon speakers, and 2GB of RAM. Other notable specs include a built-in 9 in 1 media card reader, facial recognition supporting webcam, and an integrated microphone. According to AVING, the M300 has a suggested price of 1,100,000 KRW. If it wasn’t for the 14.1 inch display, I would have mistaken the picture for one of those new netbook systems from either MSI, Dell, or even Lenovo.

Toshiba H10 HD Camcorder Toshiba has a new 720p HD camcorder coming out called the Camileo H10. The camcorder is designed to store captured video on SDHC cards (with support for up to 8GB cards) as the device only has 64MB of internal memory. Other features include 5x optical zoom lens, 4x digital zoom, 10 megapixel CCD sensor, a 2.7 inch TFT LCD display, a Night Mode for shooting in low light conditions, image stabilization technologies, and an HDMI connector. The Camileo H10 will supposedly be available at the end of the month for around $359 (which seems like an awfully low price to me so don’t kill me if the price is actually higher than this).

Toshiba’s Qosmio laptop lineup just got a bit more interesting with the announced addition of three new models - the Qosmio G50/G55, Qosmio X305 and Qosmio F55. Each of these laptops are tailored for specific needs in the areas of gaming, multimedia, and mobility technology.

Qosmio G50

First up is the Qosmio G50/G55 which also happens to be the world’s first laptop to feature a “parallel media co-processor” in the form of the Cell processor. Yup.. you heard me correct - the same Cell processor found in the Sony PlayStation 3 is making an appearance in this laptop. Toshiba was one of the co-developers of the Cell processor and is now calling it the Quad Core HD Processor within the Qosmio G50/G55. With the Quad Core HD processor in place, heavy multimedia tasks such as video encoding and video upscaling can now be moved to it and away from the main CPU. Other features of the laptop include a 500 GB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics with 512MB DDR3 memory, Harman Kardon stereo speakers, subwoofer, Dolby Home Theater, and a 18.4 inch widescreen TruBrite HD display.

Qosmio X305

Next up is the Qosmio X305 - a laptop that’s really a gaming rig. The notebook features a 17 inch widescreen 1680 x 1050 TruBrite display, an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX GPU with up to 1GB of memory, dual hard drives with up to 400GB of space, an Intel Core 2 Extreme dual core processor, Harman Kardon stereo speakers, powered sub-woofer, HDMI and SPDIF outputs, and up to 4GB of memory

Qosmio F50

Finally if you want gaming performance AND mobile practicality, there’s the new Qosmio F50/F55 laptop featuring a 15.4 inch widescreen TruBrite HD display. What makes this notebook particularly interesting is the built-in GPS receiver which is a first for Toshiba. The notebook comes with Garman mapping software which turns your notebook into a portable navigation device. Other features include an NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GTS GPU with 512MB RAM, and a eSATA port.

Other common features for all the new Qosmio laptops include support for REGZA LINK HDMI technology, new chassis design with Fusion finish, feathertouch multimedia buttons, flush-mounted Touchpad, high speed eSATA port, and Harman Kardon high fidelity bass reflex speakers with built-in subwoofer.

All three laptops are due in the middle of July.
