MDT521S_image1 Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America announces the introduction of their new MDT521S – the first 52 inch LCD monitor built with a commercial-grade panel designed for digital signage applications. According to Mitsubishi, the MDT521S is one of the first displays to offer both front and rear ambient light sensors to help determine the lighting conditions in the surrounding area which then helps to automatically adjust the image brightness of the display.

Other features of the MDT521S include:

  • Built-in CAT5 receiver with video and RS-485 serial control signals capable of being delivered simultaneously over the same CAT5 cable
  • Narrow aluminum bezel which helps to minimize distortion in tiled installations
  • Supports tiling up to 25 displays in 5 x 5 arrangement
  • Allows for landscape or portrait display
  • Programmable scheduling and multi-level screen saver functions
  • 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 700 cd/m2 brightness
  • 2000:1 contrast ratio
  • 8ms response time
  • NTSC, PAL, SECAM support
  • Picture in picture, picture out of picture, and side by side image configuration
  • VESA compliant

hl2750u Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America introduces their latest high resolution LCD projector – the HL2750U. The unit weighs 10.8 lbs, supports a variety of lens sizes for different installation options, and projects an SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) resolution picture. Other features and specs include:

  • 3100 ANSI Lumens
  • 600:1 contrast ratio
  • Inorganic LCD technology which doubles the typical service life of an organic LCD film projector
  • Anti-theft anchor and user-selectable passwords
  • 5000 hour lamp life (in low lamp mode)
  • Ports include PC, DVI-D with HDCP, RCA, S-Video, RCA etc
  • 3 watt speakers
  • Measures 13.1″ x 4.4″ x 10.7″

The HL2750U will be available for a price of $3995.

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America announces two new premium 1080p LCD TV monitors ideal for digital signage applications – the 46 inch LDTV146 and the 52 inch LDTV152. These panels feature an expected backlight life expectancy of almost seven years given a 12 hour per day usage, full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, 500 nits of brightness, and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. Other features include an ultra-thin glossy black bezel design, 120Hz processing, color frame, and HDMI/DVI-D support.

LDTV146_image2 Here are the specs for each model. For the LDTV146:

  • 46 inch display
  • 500cd/m2 brightness
  • 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 120Hz response time
  • 2 S-Video, 1 Component Video, 4 HDMI
  • Internal 10W x 2 speakers
  • Measures 42 x 28 x 11.2 inches and weighs 61.7 lbs

RDT201WDL

Mitsubishi Electric is now shipping in Japan their new Mitsubishi WIDE LCD display, model RDT201WDL – their first USB PC monitor to feature DisplayLink technology. The RDT201WDL is a 20.1 inch wide-format display with integrated USB display capabilities and a 1680 x 1050 resolution. The display comes with a built-in Ethernet connection and a USB hub that allows users to directly connect USB devices to the monitor.

The RDT201WDL also comes with energy saving features – allowing users to select from three levels of energy usage depending upon their needs. Compared to traditional LCD displays, the RDT201WDL can decrease energy use by up to 36 percent.
