First introduced back in 1946, Klipsch is bringing back their hand-built Heritage line of speakers in the UK. Four new models make up the Heritage lineup.They are:

Klipschorn Floorstanding Loudspeaker:

• Direct-radiating 15-inch woofer for powerful low frequencies.
• Available in a high-quality Cherry, Walnut or Black Ash wood veneer finish
• Priced at £1699

Heresy III Floorstanding Loudspeaker:

• A three-way design using horn-loaded Titanium diaphragm midrange and high frequency compression drivers.
• Direct-radiating 12-inch woofer for powerful low frequencies.
• 99 dB sensitivity delivers Smooth, dynamic and low distortion sound
• Available in a high-quality Cherry, Walnut or Black Ash wood veneer finish

Klipsch also announced support today for the new Apple iPod shuffle stating that a new headset would be coming out this summer in support of the new control functionality of the tiny media player. The new headset will give users the ability to play, pause, control volume, switch playlists and utilize VoiceOver at a press of a button. The new Klipsch headphones are expected to cost $99.99 this summer.

Not interested in spending thousands of dollars for your next 5.1 channel home theater system? Then you’ll be interested in three new 5.1 speaker systems coming out from Klipsch over the next few months. Here’s the lowdown of the new speakers:

On the high end, there’s the HD Theater 1000 priced at $899.99. Specs include:

• Five identical speakers – each with dual 2.5 inch fiber composite woofers and a MicroTractrix Horn-loaded 0.75 inch aluminum dome tweeter
• Each speaker stands 8.6 inches tall and can be mounted or placed on a stand
• Subwoofer has 10 inch fiber composite driver and digital hybrid subwoofer amp

The mid-range HD Theater 500 goes for $599.99 and features:

• 2.5 inch IMG woofer and MicroTractrix Horn-loaded 0.75 inch aluminum dome tweeter for front and rear speakers
• Dual woofers for center speaker
• Class D subwoofer amp and down-firing 8 inch driver

Finally, there’s the affordable $499.99 HD Theater 300. Specs include:

• 2.5 inch IMG woofer and 0.75 inch MicroTractrix Horn-loaded textile tweeter in main and surround speakers
• Center channel is similar except it’s also magnetically shielded
• Class D subwoofer amp and down-firing 6 inch driver

The HD Theater 1000 is due in February, the HD Theater 500 in March, and the HD Theater 300 in April.

Klipsch has a new five model product line called the Icon V Series which will be sold exclusively through Best Buy. According to Klipsch, the Icon V Series line was a result of feedback received from both Best Buy employees and customers. The lineup consists of two floorstanding models, VF-36 and VF-35, a single bookshelf, VB-15, a center channel, VC-25, and surround models, VS-14. Features in the new Icon V Series include:

• Aluminum tweeters for improved tonal balance
• Fiber composite lightweight woofer cones
• High definition precision voiced crossovers
• Cabinets made of black medium density fiberboard with furniture grade wood veneer top or side caps
• Cabinets are internally braced to eliminate vibration and create “tight bass performance”
• Patent-pending XT Horn for improved directivity
• High-output woofer
• Magnetically shielded to avoid TV interference

The prices for the new lineup are as follows:

• $950 for a pair of VF-36 floorstanders
• $750 for a pair of VF-35 floorstanders
• $300 for a pair of VB-15 bookshelf speakers
• $280 for each VC-25 center channel
• $330 for a pair of VS-14 surrounds

Klipsch will introduce two new subs for the Icon V Series in January.
