Alienware announced today that their Area-51 m15x notebook will now offer the NVIDIA Quadro FX 3600M GPU - making the notebook an ideal platform for creative professionals looking for graphics performance in OpenGL 2.1, Shader Model 4.0, and DirectX 10. The Area-51 m15x has the following specs:

Alienware has relaunched their Area-51 ALX desktop PC - giving it some new guts on the inside. The new Area-51 ALX now features a 3.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 processor overclocked to 4.0GHz. Helping to cool the processor down is an Alienware ALX High Performance Liquid Cooling system. Other system specs include:

Alienware had some of their latest gear on display with the Dell booth at CES 2008. The product getting the most buzz and attention at the Alienware booth was the “Alienware Curved Display” pictured below.

According to Alienware, this display is the equivalent of two 24 inch monitors. It has a native resolution of 2880 x 900 (double WXGA+) and is based on DLP rear projection technology. Response time is less than 0.02 ms and it’s basically the first of it’s kind. No word on price but Alienware will release it late this year. Enjoy the pics!

Alienware introduced a new 15.4 inch notebook this week called the Area-51 m15x which according to the company is the most powerful 15.4 inch notebook that they’ve ever designed. The system combines an Intel Core 2 Extreme processor with a 15.4 inch display powered by an NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX GPU. Other features include an all new case design with a stealthy profile, and a unique AlienFX customizable effects program which lets users create unique lighting themes across six distinct zones (including the keyboard, the QuickTouch control pad etc)
