Jabra STONE Bluetooth headset coming to AT&T on Nov. 9th

This funky looking headset is the latest Jabra Bluetooth headset to come from the folks at GN Netcom. Known as the Jabra STONE, the headset employs a unique design which wraps behind the ear and eliminates the near-standard on-ear microphone. The Jabra STONE will be available exclusively at AT&T retail stores starting on November 9th for a price of $129.99.

The STONE also comes with a unique touch-controlled volume pad on the outside of the headset. All you’ll need to do is simply slide your finger up or down to control the volume. Sound ID introduces Sound ID 400 Personal Sound System

Sound ID announces their latest Bluetooth headset today called the Sound ID 400 Personal Sound System. The 400 comes with the following three unique features:

“PersonalSound” which allows the user to select from three custom listening modes that are tuned to enhance speech clarity and boosting listening power
“Environmental Mode” which allows users to hear equally out of both ears when they’re not on a call. When this mode is activated, the “hearing ability” is enhanced and soft sounds can be heard while the headset is on

Jawbone PRIME now available nationwide

V-MODA and Monster pre-announce support for iPod shuffle also

Let the “me too” hit parade continue. Seems like every major headset vendor is raising their hands up and saying “me too” when it comes to announcing upcoming products with support for the new iPod shuffle controls. Today’s “me too’s” include V-MODA and Monster.

V-MODA announced plans on releasing a “revolutionary headphone line with integrated controls” that are compatible with the new shuffle called the V-MODA Audio Volume Control (AVC) headphone line. Expect the first AVC headphones to be available in the second quarter.

And yes.. Monster also announced that their headphone lineup will soon come with integrated controls for the Apple iPod shuffle – including their Beats by Dr. Dre headset. Expect the new headsets to start appearing over the next few months Joy.

Klipsch announces support for the new iPod shuffle too

Klipsch also announced support today for the new Apple iPod shuffle stating that a new headset would be coming out this summer in support of the new control functionality of the tiny media player. The new headset will give users the ability to play, pause, control volume, switch playlists and utilize VoiceOver at a press of a button. The new Klipsch headphones are expected to cost $99.99 this summer.

Etymotic Research to come out with new headset models supporting the iPod shuffle

Not thrilled with the Apple headset that comes with the new iPod shuffle? Not a problem – multiple headset vendors are expected to come out with their own models that will be compatible with the new control functions of the shuffle. Etymotic Research will be one of those companies as they’ve announced that upcoming models will feature the new integrated control functions allowing users to play, pause, control the volume, and utilize the new VoiceOver feature of the iPod shuffle. The only problem? No word on when exactly these models will be coming out.

Above is the latest Nokia Bluetooth Headset – the new BH-904. Nokia introduces BH-804 Bluetooth Headset

CSR announces BlueTunes ROM platform

If you’re a hardware manufacturer looking to build a low-cost Bluetooth enabled stereo wireless headset, then you might be interested in CSR’s newly announced BlueTunes ROM product. Razer introduces the Megalodon and the Moray

Razer announced two new audio products today at the Games Convention – the Razer Megalodon 7.1 channel surround sound gaming headset, and the Razer Moray In-ear Noise Isolating Gaming Earphones. The Razer Megalodon features Razer’s new Maelstrom Audio Engine which Razer claims “has the ability to process audio algorithms up to 800% faster than traditional HRTF virtual surround sound technologies”. Thus the faster the audio processing, the quicker you’ll hear your enemies footsteps right behind you in a game.

I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw this one.
