XtremeMac introduces new cases for iPod nano 5G and iPod touch

Have new iPod models, have new cases of course! That’s certainly the case with XtremeMac as they’ve announced a new line of cases (as well as color palettes) for the new iPod nano and iPod touches announced last week. Here’s a quick rundown of the new case announcements.

Tuffwrap:

Form-fitting high-grade silicone cases for iPod touch and iPod nano
Offers full access to all switches and jacks including the new video camera of the iPod nano
Version for iPod touch comes with a screen shield

Tuffwrap for iPod touch is available in two assortments:

Tuffwrap with colors including bright blue, pink and classic black

Tuffwrap for iPod nano is available in three assortments:

ZAGG introduces invisibleSHIELD for new nano 4G and touch 2G

ZAGG announced that their invisibleSHIELD product is now available for the new iPod nano 4G and iPod touch 2G media players. The invisibleSHIELD is manufactured from 0.2 mm thick scratch-proof material that’s custom cut to fit the full body of the respective iPod model. You’ll be able to purchase the new invisibleSHIELD at Best Buy, WalMart.com, or www.zagg.com.

First reviews of new iPods come in

Hot on the heels of the new iPod announcements by Apple yesterday come the very first reviews and first looks on these new media players. We’ll start with the iPod touch where the folks MacWorld had this to say:

Latest version of widescreen iPod takes another step towards the iPhone

PC Mag has their review of the new touch here and had this to say as a result:

While the second-generation iPod touch is very similar to its predecessor, it has enough extra features, like Genius playlists and excellent games from the Apps Store, to maintain its standing at the top of the PMP heap.

PC World has a video look at both the iPod touch and the new iPod nano.. and since we’re talking about the new nano, here’s what PC Magazine had to say about the 4th gen nano:

Apple’s slimmed-down, slicker-than-ever iPod nano responds to your movements, creates playlists it thinks you’ll like, and makes the competition look like a bunch of clunkers.
