Denon announced ten new A/V (audio/video) receivers today consisting of five affordable retail home theater models, two more advanced 7 channel models, and three “CI-class” receivers.
Enhancements made to all the new Denon receivers are as follows:
- Inclusion of HDMI v.1.4a repeater inputs with 3D (all mandated formats), audio return channel, and CEC support
- All models except for the AVR-391, feature analog to HDMI conversion and HD audio decoding from Dolby and dts
- Many feature advanced multi-zone networking capabilities
- iPod connectivity available in all models
- AVR-1911, AVR-791, and higher models add iPod digital direct via USB which is “Works with iPhone” certified
- Updated easy-to-use graphical user interface or on-screen display
- All feature OSD or GUI overlay via HDMI connection
- Source/Quick Select Power On and Quick Select options on front panel and remote control to give end users one button source, surround mode selection
- Standby power on all new receivers is below 0.1 watts
- 24-bit/192-kHz Analog Devices DACs
- Audyssey Dynamic Volume, Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Audyssey MultEQ
- Analog-to-HDMI video conversion
The five affordable models are:
7 channel Denon AVR-991 with a suggested retail price of $999 due out in July.
- Features Audyssey DSX with Front Height or Width Channels with Sirius Satellite Radio Ready capability
- Ethernet port
- Mac/PC audio streaming
- Internet radio, Pandora, Flickr, web browser function
- 12-bit video processing and scaling from Anchor Bay Technologies
7 channel Denon AVR-891 with a suggested retail price of $799 due out in May
- 12-bit video processing and scaling from Anchor Bay Technologies
7 channel Denon AVR-791 with a suggested retail price of $499 due out in May
- 12-bit video processing and scaling from Anchor Bay Technologies
5 channel Denon AVR-591 with a suggested retail price of $349 due out in May
5 channel Denon AVR-391 with a suggested retail price of $249 due out in July

Denon AVR-1911 with a suggested retail price of $599 due out in June

- Denon AVR-3311CI with a suggested retail price of $1199 due out in June
- Denon AVR-2311CI with a suggested retail price of $899 due out in June
