Acer America announced a new high-end GD235HZ display yesterday supporting full HD 3D when combined with NVIDIA 3D Vision active-shutter glasses and appropriate 3D content.

The GD235HZ combines a high contrast ratio of 80,000:1 with Acer’s Adaptive Contrast Management (ACM) which “allows users to adjust images frame by frame to optimize contrast by enhancing detail and gradation.

Key specs to the GD235HZ include the following:

  • 23.6 inch 16:9, 1920 x 1080 resolution display
  • 2ms response time
  • 0.2715 pixel pitch
  • 120Hz refresh rate
  • 80,000:1 Max (ACM)/1000:1 (native) contrast ratio
  • 300 cd/m2 brightness
  • 170 degree horizontal and 160 degree vertical angle
  • Support for 16.7 million colors
  • 1 x HDMI, 1 x DVI, 1 x VGA input
  • VESA 100m wall mount
  • Internal power supply

NVIDIA’s 3D Vision is a combination of wireless active-shutter glasses, a wireless USB transmitter, and advanced software.

Expect the Acer GD235HZ early this month at an MSRP of $399.99. The NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit is available for $199.
