EP-MS40

We love massage chairs but the question we often find ourselves asking is, do they have to be so large and bulky?

Panasonic doesn’t think so as they announced last week a new line of low-profile, contemporary massage chairs known as the EP-MS40 Massage Sofa. The “sofa” measures a mere 34 inches tall yet offers a complete neck to hips massage experience. It even comes with a leg and foot massage ottoman which neatly folds away underneath the seating area.

According to Panasonic, the EP-MS40 “delivers a balanced, full body massage without reclining and automatically adjusts to the height of the user.” The chair comes with a 7.2 inch wide massage head and a 26 inch curved track which allows the massage head to be precisely placed in a smaller area while easily conforming to a user’s body.

The chair offers four pre-set programs – Full Massage, Mini Massage, Relaxation Mode, and Variety Mode – and two manual programs – Targeted Massage, and Pinpoint Massage.

The EP-MS40 comes in two stylish colors, avocado green, and latte, and forsakes leather in favor of washable polyester fabric.  The chair is also endorsed by the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) making Panasonic the first company to be endorsed by the ACA for massage chairs.

Panasonic expects the EP-MS40 to be available in April for a price of $2499.99.
