NETGEAR Digital Entertainer Express
NETGEAR also announced a new addition to their Digital Entertainer product line called the Digital Entertainer Express EVA9100. Cheaper than the Digital Entertainer Elite, the Express is a consumer-oriented product that allows users to easily access content from a local hard drive, local network, or from the Internet.
Key features of the Express EVA9100 include:
- Seamlessly stream M2TS via pre-buffering and play Blu-ray 1080p HD video
- Plays back variety of file formats from PCs, Macs, or NAS devices
- Internet connect consists of Internet radio stations, web-based services such as Hulu, Netflix, CBS, Flickr, RSS feeds, and of course videos from websites
- Two USB ports for access to content on flash drives, digital cameras, iPods, external hard drives etc
- Ethernet connection and optional Wi-Fi support via optional Wireless USB adapter
- Simple “push button” way to connect to wireless routers called “Push ‘N’ Connect”
- Energy-efficient power supply and automatic power-saving mode where it consumes as little as 0.01 watts
- Follow Me feature allows users with two or more NETGEAR Digital Entertainer Express units to pause video in one room and resume from another room
- One HDMI port, HD upconversion to 1080p
- Supports Windows Media DRM
- Video file format support includes AVI, DivX, XviD, WMV, MOV, M4V, MP4, VOB, MPG, MP1, MP2, ISO, IFO, MKV, TS, M2TS
- Audio file format support includes MP1, MP2, MP3, WMA, WMA-Pro, AAC, FLAC, WAV, LPCM, MKA, Dolby Digital Stereo downmix, Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, DTS-HD Master Audio
