Pocket Radar takes the bulky speed gun and transforms it into a compact portable device capable of providing accurate real-time speed measurements at the push of a button.

At the heart of the system is a Doppler radio signal detection and processing system coupled with re-engineered microwave and antenna components which taken together delivers the same performance you’d get from a traditional bulky radar gun except it’s now in a form factor similar to a Flip Video camera.

Pocket Radar claims the device is accurate to within 1 mile per hour and can take 10,000 speed measurements using one set of AAA batteries. Use it to measure baseball pitches, racing car speeds, or heck.. how fast your kid is driving the family car!

Expect availability of the Pocket Radar to be in the spring time of 2010.
