Lenovo quietly introduces Multimedia Remote with Keyboard
Lenovo has quietly unveiled a new multimedia remote with keyboard on their website with shipments expected around January 11th. The handheld
wireless remote looks a bit like a makeshift ping-pong paddle with a keyboard up top and a small trackball below the keyboard. Wireless communications are performed over the 2.4 GHz wireless spectrum at distances up to 10 feet. The unit comes with a USB nano dongle and offers complete Windows multimedia control. Note that there’s no green button shortcut for Windows Media Center. It’s compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. You can purchase the Multimedia Remote with Keyboard over at Lenovo’s website for a price of $59.99. We went ahead and ordered one so hopefully we’ll get a chance to play with it in a few weeks (after CES 2010 we imagine).
