OtterBox now offers three distinct case lineups for BlackBerry smartphone users – the Impact Series, Commuter Series, and Defender Series.

The Impact Series is a single-layered case utilizing durable silicone to offer impact protection for BlackBerry smartphones. The case comes with a self-adhering screen protector to protect against scratches and smudges. All ports and buttons remain accessible through the case. Model support includes BlackBerry Storm2, Bold 9700, Bold 9000, Tour 9600, Curve 8300, 8350i, 8500, and 8900.

The Defender Series delivers three layers of protection for BlackBerry smartphones. Layer one, which also happens to be optional, is a thermal formed membrane designed to protect the screen and keyboard. Layer two if a hi-impact polycarbonate shell while layer three is a durable silicone layer designed to absorb shocks, bumps etc. Model support includes Bold 9000, Storm 2, Storm 9550, Tour 9600, Curve` 8300, 8350i, 8500, 8900, Pearl 8100, 8110/8120/8130; 8700 and 8800 Series. Bold 9700 support will be coming soon.

Finally, the Commuter Series combines elements from the Defender Series with characteristics of the Impact Series. All buttons are fully functional through the case and the audio jack, and USB port are accessible through silicone plugs. Model support includes Storm2, Storm 9550, Bold 9700, Bold 9000, Tour 9600, Curve 8500 and 8900.
