Thanks to the FCC, we now know that Samsung is readying the new ST5500 point-and-shoot digital camera for the U.S. market. The impressive features and specs include:

• 14.2 megapixel resolution
• 7x optical zoom lens
• 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi connectivity
• 100 MB internal memory
• microSD card slot
• Capture 720p HD video at 30 fps
• ISO ranges from 80 to 3200
• Max 1/2000 shutter speed
• 3.5 inch LCD touch-screen display
• Output videos and photos via USB or HDMI

With the built-in Wi-Fi support you’ll be able to send photos and videos by email, or post then up on the web via sites like YouTube.

Expect the Samsung ST5500 to come out sometime during the first quarter of next year.
