Bye bye CrunchPad… moving on now..
The CrunchPad is dead…
I won’t go into the details – you can read Michael Arrington’s lengthy explanation as to why the $300 dollar device is no more – at least not in its current form over at TechCrunch.
Do we wish it actually saw the light of day?
Yeah I guess so.. but we’re far more excited about the prospects of a possible Apple tablet. Sure it’s all rumor-ville right now (and it has been like that for nearly a year now) but Apple has a reputation for delivering quality hardware AND software, so while the notion of a $300 dollar tablet might be great for the masses, we’d rather see a complete satisfying user experience that emphasized quality over price.
So for now – goodbye CrunchPad. We really didn’t miss you all that much since we never actually played with you.
