Best Buy announces $197 dollar HP notebook for Black Friday
OK.. Black Friday just got a bit more interesting folks.
Best Buy announced today they were adding one more product to their list of Black Friday sale items – their first ever value-priced HP laptop, the G60-507DX, for a sale price of $197 dollars.
So what will you get for $197 dollars? Here’s the rundown on specs:
- Intel Celeron 900 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz with 1MB cache and 800MHz FSB
- 2GB of RAM expandable to 4GB
- DVD+-R/CD+-RW burner with dual-layer support
- 15.6 inch widescreen display with 1366 x 768 resolution
- 160GB 7200RPM SATA HDD
- Intel GMA4500M integrated graphics
- 5 in 1 media card reader
- 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity
- HP Imprint Piano Black Finish
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Edition
- Measures 1.7 inches thick and weighs 6.6 lbs
For $197, this system certainly delivers more bang for the buck than inexpensive netbook systems; unless of course you’re looking for something that is thin and light with a long lasting battery. If you’re more concerned about performance and less concerned about weight and battery life, then my friends, this system is a steal.
Sooo.. you can be sure this system will disappear fast early Friday morning. Best Buy’s website claims a minimum of 5 systems will be available at each store with a limit of 1 per customer.
