even more plus

If you’re commitment-phobic to mobile carriers, then you’ll want to check out T-Mobile’s newly announced no-contract-based “Even More Plus” mobile calling plans. These new plans allow you to pay for your mobile service on a month-by-month basis at fairly competitive prices. All the new plans feature free nationwide T-Mobile to T-Mobile calling, free nights and weekends, free overage alerts for non-unlimited users, and whenever minutes you can use whenever. Here are the plans and prices available for individuals:

  • Talk Unlimited – $49.99 a month
  • Talk 1000 minutes – $39.99 a month
  • Talk 500 minutes – $29.99 a month
  • Talk + Text Unlimited – $59.99 a month
  • Talk + Text 1000 minutes – $49.99 a month
  • Talk + Text 500 minutes – $39.99 a month
  • Talk + Text + Web Unlimited – $79.99 a month
  • Talk + Text + Web 1000 minutes- $69.99 a month
  • Talk + Text + Web 500 minutes- $59.99 a month

Family plans are as follows:

  • Talk Unlimited – $79.99 a month
  • Talk 1500 minutes – $59.99 a month
  • Talk 750 minutes – $49.99 a month
  • Talk + Text Unlimited – $99.99 a month
  • Talk + Text 1500 minutes – $79.99 a month
  • Talk + Text 750 minutes – $69.99 a month
  • Talk + Text + Web Unlimited – $139.99 a month
  • Talk + Text + Web 1500 minutes- $119.99 a month
  • Talk + Text + Web 750 minutes- $109.99 a month

So what’s the catch you might ask? You lose subsidized pricing on mobile phones – which can be a lot or a little depending on the handset you want. However, T-Mobile does offer an “equipment installment plan” which allows you to amortize the cost of the handset over a 20 month period – spreading the cost across a longer period of time.
