MobileBurn likes the MiFi 2200 Mobile Hotspot
MobileBurn is out with a quick review of the new Verizon Wireless MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot (which is set to go on sale starting on the 17th of this month). In case you’ve already forgotten, the MiFi is a portable Wi-Fi access point allowing you to share a single Verizon Wireless 3G mobile broadband connection with multiple Wi-Fi enabled devices. Here’s what MobileBurn thought of the device:
“If you are looking for 3G access for your computer or smartphone while out on the road, it doesn’t get much better than the MiFi 2200. We give it a “Highly Recommended” rating.”
The MiFi will cost $99.99 after a $50 dollar mail-in rebate and a new two year agreement. Price plans for the 3G service are as follows:
- $39.99 a month for 250MB monthly allowance and 10 cents per MB overage
- $59.99 a month for 5GB monthly allowances and 5 cents per MB overage
You can also purchase a Mobile Broadband DayPass for $15 dollars a day if the MiFi is purchased at the full price.
