We’ve been looking around for specs to the rumored third generation iPhone due out later this summer and now, thanks to a forum member over at the Chinese forum website, WeiPhone, we’ve got an idea as to what to expect. The poster (who goes by Patapon200) had this to say about the new iPhone specs:

• 600MHz processor (up from the 400MHz processor found in current iPhones)
• 256MB RAM (double from current 128MB RAM)
• Built-in digital compass
• Built-in FM tuner
• 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus
• 32GB flash memory
• Model# MB717LL

No other changes are expected for the third gen iPhone which will most likely be announced at the upcoming WWDC in June.

Another interesting tidbit? This poster also claims that Apple is indeed working on 9.7 inch touch-screen tablet code-named LK48. Very interesting..
