Samsung introduces 70 Series LCD monitors
Samsung announced their latest desktop LCD monitors today in the form of the new 70 Series consisting of the P2070, P2370, and P2370HD LCD displays. All three monitors feature a slim profile (with the P2070 and P2370 having a screen depth of 30mm while the P2370HD has a screen depth of 65.5mm) and Samsung’s Touch of Color (ToC) design.
One new feature found on the 70 Series is the “Starlight Touch Controls” which integrate On Screen Display (OSD) buttons directly into the bezel in the form of touch controls. No more recessed or pronounced looking buttons here.
Specs for the new monitors are as follows:
- 50,000:1 contrast ratio
- 1920 x 1080 resolution (except for the P2070 which has a resolution of 1600 x 900)
- 2 ms (GTG) video response time (5 ms for the P2370HD)
- Reduced power consumption
- Touch of Color design
- VOC-free Crystal-like bezel frame for reduced glare
- Starlight Touch Controls
- Built-in 1080p digital HDTV tuner; 5ms video response time and HDMI input for the P2370HD model
No word on pricing.
