steve jobs While it’s been several months since Steve Jobs took a medical leave from Apple, a new report out over the weekend states that he’s still very much involved in “key aspects of running the company”. According to the Wall Street Journal, Jobs continues to work on company strategies and product lines and was involved with the recent user interface enhancements unveiled with the iPhone 3.0 update.

Jobs is also supposedly involved with the development of new projects including new versions of the iPhone as well as a new Apple “portable device” – smaller than a laptop yet larger than the iPhone. Hmm.. all roads lead to a netbook like device?

And what about the future return of Jobs? Steve Dowling, Apple spokesman states “Steve continues to look forward to returning to Apple at the end of June.”
