Wish you could simply purchase an iPhone 3G without committing to anything? Soon you’ll be able to do just that! The Boy Genius Report is reporting that AT&T will begin offering the iPhone 3G at a no-commitment price starting on March 26th. The 8GB iPhone 3G will be priced at $599 while the 16GB will be yours for a mere $699. Apparently there’s a “one per line” limit which makes it seem that you’ll need to have an active AT&T account in order to purchase the handset.. Will friends with AT&T accounts suddenly become popular? Would anyone in their right mind spend $599 for the iPhone 3G 8GB???
