MSI X-Slim notebooks

MSI expands their X-Series lineup of ultra-portable notebooks (which was first seen at CES 2009) with the announcement of the new X340 and X600 systems. Unlike the original X320 which had an Intel Atom processor on the inside for “long life mobile computing”, the new X-Series systems are designed for performance, multimedia oriented applications and thus feature Intel Centrino ULV (ultra-low voltage) processors on the inside.

The MSI X340 has a 13 inch 16:9 aspect ratio display, a weight of 1.3kg, and a maximum thickness of 1.98 cm (with the thinnest point being 6mm). Other features of the X340 include a full complement of I/O ports, an HDMI port, Blu-ray support, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, and an optional WiMAX module. Expect the X340 to be available in three colors – Splendid Champagne Gold, Elegant Pearl White and Stylish Techno Black.

If the 13 inch display is a bit small for your liking, then you’ll be interested with the new MSI X600 which features a 15 inch 16:9 aspect ratio display. The system also features the Intel Centrino ULV processor platform, and weighs only 2kg.

Unfortunately there’s no word on pricing as of yet.
