Black Box Video & Audio over Ethernet
Black Box Corporation announces their new Video and Audio over Ethernet Extender System (VAoE) solution providing a simple and convenient method to distribute high definition audio/video over an existing Ethernet network. All you’ll need is a CAT5, CAT5e, or CAT6 network infrastructure and you’ll be able to transmit HD content to one or more displays as far as 300 feet away – great for applications such as displaying video remotely, digital signage, live TV, etc.
The system works with any brand of single-link DVI or HDTV displays and supports 480p, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1080i, and 1080p resolutions. The VAoE system consists of three products – a standalone transmitter for $1395, a PCI/PCI-e Card Transmitter for $1255 and a standalone receiver for $975. The receiver also works as a Gigabit Ethernet switch.
