Samsung isn’t the only mobile phone vendor out with a solar power enabled handset this year. LG Electronics gets into the gig by announcing their own eco-friendly handset with a built-in solar panel battery cover. 10 minutes of solar exposure will provide roughly 3 minutes of talk time. Of course if you leave the handset out in the sun long enough, you’ll never have to recharge the phone again (sounds like a great device for Southern California residents!). No word on other specs or prices but the new eco-friendly phone is due to come out in Europe by the end of the year.
