Nikon introduces new compact COOLIX P90 digital camera
Get ready for a slew of new Nikon product announcements. We’ll start things off with the new P90 – the latest addition to Nikon’s flagship lineup of performance series COOLPIX cameras. The P90 features a 12.1 megapixel resolution, a whopping 24x optical zoom lens, a 3.0 inch vari-angle LCD monitor with anti-reflection coating, and 15 fps high speed capabilities (up to 45 frames). Here’s a rundown of features:
- 24x optical wide angle Zoom-NIKKOR ED Glass Lens – 26mm to 624 mm
- 12.1 megapixel resolution
- 3.0 inch Vari-Angle High Resolution LCD and Electronic Viewfinder with ability to tilt 90 degrees upwards or 45 degrees downwards
- 4 way Vibration Reduction (VR) Image Stabilization
- ISO 6400 support
- Motion Detection – automatically detects moving subjects and adjusts shutter speeds and ISO setting
- Optional VR – compensates for camera shake
- Best Shot Selector – takes up to 10 shots while the shutter is pressed and saves sharpest image
- In camera red-eye fix
- Enhanced face priority AF
- Smile Mode
- Blink proof
The Nikon P90 will be available in March for a price of $399.95.
