Apple iLife ‘09 to be available today
Announced earlier this month at Macworld 2009, Apple will be making iLife ‘09 available today (Jan. 27th) at the upgrade price of $79 dollars (it’s of course included with every new Mac purchase).
iLife ‘09 features many new improvements and features to the suite of applications. I’m most impressed with the improvements made to iPhoto ‘09. You can now organize your growing digital photo library using Faces and Places.
You can tag faces in your digital stills and then leverage iPhoto’s facial recognition technologies to help tag the rest of your image collection. The application can also determine the location of your stills using geo-tagging information that might be stored in your picture (assuming your camera had a GPS receiver).
Other notable improvements to the package include updates to iMovie ‘09, GarageBand ‘09, and iWeb ‘09.
