This is the new Panasonic DMC-LS85 – the latest addition to the LUMIX line of digital cameras. Combining advanced features into a compact digital camera great for all sorts of consumers, the DMC-LS85 features an 8.1 megapixel resolution, 4x optical zoom lens, a bright F2.8 quality LUMIX DC VARIO lens, and Panasonic’s Intelligent Auto Mode (iA) system. Now what is iA you ask? It’s basically a mode that comprises of four major functions on the camera – Mega O.I.S. (optical image stabilizer), Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, and Face Detection technology. In addition, the camera’s quick AF system can stay focused on a subject without you needing to press the shutter button down halfway all the time.

Other interesting features and specs to the DMC-LS85 include:

The Panasonic DMC-LS85 will be available in silver, black, and pink with a wonderfully low suggested price of $119.95. Expect the camera in April.
