LG’s new 3G Touch Watch Phone @ CES 2009
The Touch Watch Phone has finally become a reality as LG Electronics showed off the phone at CES 2009. The LG Touch Watch Phone (model LG-GD910) is a follow-up to the prototype that was introduced at CES 2008 and comes with several advances including a full touch-screen interface, 3G capabilities, and video calling.
Features of the LG-GD910 include the following:
Curved tempered glass face - High quality metal casing
- Measures 13.9 mm thick
- First touch watch phone to feature 7.2 Mbps 3G HSDPA support
- Built-in camera
- Send text messages, make phone calls, and look up the time
- 1.43 inch display
- Voice recognition features
- Text to speech capabilities allows the watch to read text messages and other information out load
- Stereo Bluetooth support
- Built-in speaker
- Phonebook and scheduler
The LG Touch Watch Phone will go on sale in Europe at some point this year – no word on price. Here are some (rather poor) stills taken at the Digital Experience held at CES 2009 last week. Enjoy!
