Sprint launches an enhancement to their NextMail messaging service called the NextMail Locator service. Available for select Nextel Direct Connect phones, the new service allows customers to push-to-send location, date, time, and voice observations with a dispatcher, call center, or another field worker – all by pressing the Direct Connect Button and leaving a message.

The new NextMail Locator service is powered by Pacific DataVision and allows compatible phones to add GPS coordinates, physical street addresses, and an interactive map of their current position to NextMail voice messages which can be sent to any email address.

The NextMail Locator service is available on select GPS enabled Nextel and PowerSource phones including the BlackBerry Curve 8350i with unlimited use of the service priced at $19.99 a month (in addition to their current monthly plan)
