CES Day 1 wraps.. and oh what a night..
First off, I apologize for the lack of “live” news from CES 2009. We’re limited in reporting power here at CES (unlike other larger more notable sites with countless reporters, video equipment, you name it) so we often make the tough choice of either updating the site or going from vendor to vendor and checking out what’s new, gathering useful information and tidbits, and then hopefully distilling that to something useful to all of you. So once again I apologize but hang tight – you’ll be getting the news updates from us as the days go by and CES continues and ultimately ends.
BUT before I get into what I can for the night (before I end up crashing for the evening/morning) I’d like to give some major props to some folks. First off – big thanks to the folks (James and Kristy – much gracias!) at Lenovo for holding an awesome happy hour/presentation at the Venetian. We got a chance to check out the latest products from Lenovo including that wickedly large and cool dual display laptop – the ThinkPad W700ds (more on that later). Much thanks for the good food and the good company!
Second – big props to folks at Sharper Image for an awesome party at Tao (many thanks for the bags too! We’ll talk about them later on here at Krunker). For anyone who says CES is dull thus far – I would say yes – I agree but that’s ok because the party scene afterwards is just sweetness! Add a little CES geekiness, splash in some AVN wildness, and you’ve got yourself a wicked cocktail at Tao.
Oh yes – finally – major props for the folks at Monster Cable for holding a sweet suite party over at the Paris hotel. We got to eat, drink, hang out with the DJ.. you name it.
Our day 1 night ended back at the Tao where we danced the night away; watched Tera Patrick do her thing too.. and well.. yeah.. had just a ridiculously awesome time.
