Earlier this week, Lenovo introduced several new IdeaPad notebooks as well as their first all-in-one PC – the IdeaCentre A600. We finally snapped up some pictures of the new A600 for your viewing pleasure. Here’s the front of the A600.

The system’s display is sloped downwards towards the user and then sloped away towards the bottom. Unfortunately this means you won’t be able to mount the A600. Here’s the left side of the A600 with ports accessible on the lower section:

And here’s the right side of the A600 (notice the slot drive on the bottom):

I couldn’t get a clear shot of the rear but here’s what I did capture (also notice the external power brick).

Spec wise, the A600 has a 21.5 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, integrated speaker system with bass subwoofer and Dolby Home Theater audio certification, optional Blu-ray player, Intel Core 2 Duo processors, optional ATI Radeon GPU, up to 4GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of disk space.

Don’t forget that the A600 also has that funky 4 in 1 remote control which acts as a media center controller, a VoIP phone, a wii-like remote control, and mouse navigator.

I did inquire Lenovo about whether they would release a touch-screen system later on, and a representative mentioned they would consider this in the future if it made sense. Their point – a touch-screen all-in-one PC has a cool “Wow” factor which wears off rather quickly. Once you get passed that period (probably lasting 10 minutes or so), you’ll probably find yourself using a keyboard and mouse again. The better proposition for touch would be the Tablet PC for now – especially for vertical markets. Probably very true.
