The BlackBerry Storm coming on Nov 21st for $199.99 after $50 dollar MIR
For those of you waiting for the BlackBerry Storm handset for Verizon Wireless, your wait is ALMOST over. Verizon Wireless will begin offering the BlackBerry Storm starting on November 21st for a price of $249.99 with a new two year contract. There will also be a $50 dollar mail-in rebate which will bring the price of the Storm down to $199.99 dollars – basically making the Storm the same price as the Apple iPhone 3G.
Announced back in October, the Storm is RIM’s first BlackBerry with full touch-screen capabilities. However, the Storm stands apart from the rest thanks to the SurePress Touch Screen which provides a unique tactile touch and click experience for users. You can fully manipulate the display like a normal touch-screen handset, however pressing buttons or making selections require you to depress the screen – almost as if you were pressing a real physical button.
Other features of the Storm include Full HTML browser, a 3.2 megapixel camera, Mobile IM, Picture and Video Messaging, FaceBook/Flickr Applications, VZ Navigator support, productivity applications, Visual Voice Mail, microSD support, 3G EVDO support, and Stereo Bluetooth support.
