Etymotic Research announced today their latest digital music player earphones – the fifth generation hf5 earphones. Based on the hf2 headset minus the microphone, the hf5 features noise isolation technology, Etymotic Research’s tuned acoustic-insert technology for the clearest sound, and new eartips for greater fitting flexibility. The hf5 is available exclusively at Amazon.com for a price of $149. They’re compatible with all iPod models and most music players and monitors with a 3.5 mm plug. Included in the package is the earphones, assorted eartips, filter tool with 2 replacement filters, and a carrying pouch.
