Panasonic announces the LUMIX DMC-G1 will cost $799.95.
Announced in September, Panasonic has finally announced pricing for the new LUMIX DMC-G1 digital camera. The DMC-G1 will be coming out in mid-November for a suggested retail price of $799.95 and will include the LUMIX G VARIO 15-45 mm/F3.5-5.6 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S. kit lens. The LUMIX G VARIO 45-200m/F4.0-5.6/MEGA O.I.S. telephoto Micro Four Thirds lens will also be available for a price of $349.95.
In case you forgot, the LUMIX DMC-G1 is the first interchangeable lens camera to offer a variety of colors including black, blue,and red. Features of the DMC-G1 include:
- Weighs half of a standard DSLR
- New contrast AF system
- Intelligent Auto mode which includes AF tracking, Intelligent Exposure, MEGA O.I.S., Intelligent ISO, Intelligent Scene Selector, and Face Detection
- Live View Finder via 3.0 inch LCD
