n79-front-blue-lowres Looks like the Nokia N79 handset will be available here in the U.S. before the year’s out. The FCC approved the handset and it’s expected to make its appearance with AT&T. Announced back in August, the N79 features:

  • 2.4 inch display with 320 x 240 resolution and support for up to 16 million colors
  • Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900, EGSM 900
  • Talk time of 5.5 hours with GSM, 3.5 hours with WCDMA, and 4 hours with VoiP
  • Comes with interchangeable covers with automatically matching screen themes called Xpress-on smart covers. Colors include  Light Sea Blue, Espresso Brown, Olive Green, White and Coral Red – three of which come with the N79
  • High-speed 3.5G HSDPA support
  • Integrated Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR
  • UPnP support
  • TV out with Nokia video connectivity cable
  • Integrated hands-free speakerphone
  • 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash, and video light
  • Built in music player
  • Video recording at up to VGA and at 30fps
  • Comes with 4GB microSD memory card
  • Built-in assisted GPS
  • N-Gage gaming
  • Built-in FM transmitter
  • S60 3rd edition, Feature Pack 2 platform
  • Measures 110 x 49 x 15 mm and weighs 97 grams

According to MobileWhack, the N79 is expected to cost around $520.
