ExtremeTech has published a combined review for both the new Microsoft Explorer Mouse and Explorer Mini Mouse here on their website. These mice feature Microsoft’s new BlueTrack technology which “combines the power of optical with the precision of laser for remarkable tracking on more surfaces.” – Translation – these mice will work on more surfaces than ever before though as ExtremeTech points out – not on glass or mirrored surfaces.

Here’s what the site thought of the Microsoft Explorer mouse:

Though pricey, the Explorer offers users plenty of options when on-the-go with its new tracking technology that works on virtually any surface.

as for the Explorer Mini Mouse:

The Explorer Mini Mouse is a great notebook companion given its portability and tracking system. You’ll have to fork over some bucks though, but it may be worth it if you fit the target user.
