Apple’s newest notebooks – the new MacBook Pro and the MacBook Mini
Here’s the latest on what you need to know about Apple’s “Spotlight turns to notebooks” event:
- New notebooks will take a page from the MacBook Air construction. Single unibody aluminum construction.
- Yes, Apple is using NVIDIA chipsets over Intel chipsets for the next generation notebooks. The chipset is the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M which combines your traditional motherboard chipset with a graphics core on a single die. 70 percent goes to the GPU and the rest goes to the chipset functionality. 55 percent performance improvement over the current NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT in the current MacBook Pro.
- New multi-touch glass trackpad which is 39 percent larger than before. Added up to four finger gesture support
