What the heck is this?

That’s what I found myself saying when I saw the picture of this OLO Computer notebook. According to ITWire, the notebook appears to be an “iPhone powered notebook/netbook where the brains of the computer appears to the the iPhone itself.”

Yes.. there is indeed a picture of an iPhone device sitting where a touchpad would normally be found.. but to say that this is an iPhone powered notebook seems rather.. well.. ridiculous. Also to make things interesting is the fact that the main display shows the OS X UI.. and we all know the legal ramifications of a company bundling OS X so.. how legit could this really be? Then again, it does say “Coming soon”.

In any case I think I’ll chalk this one up as possibly someone’s design fantasy.. or perhaps.. it’s a notebook system with a hacked version of OS X installed along with an iPhone dock connector integrated into the touchpad section. Go figure.
