T-Mobile data on 17 million customers stolen in ‘06
Here’s some rather disturbing news – Deutsche Telekom admitted on Saturday that the company lost confidential information for 17 million T-Mobile clients. The data was stolen way back in 2006 and involved data including telephone numbers, birthdates, addresses, and email addresses. According to spokesman Frank Domagala, no banking information was taken and “according to our information, even though these details have been put up for sale on the black market, there has not been a buyer.”
So here’s the real question – why did it take so long for T-Mobile to come clean on this?
