Nokia introduced their first touch-screen handset this week called the 5800 XpressMusic – one of the first Nokia devices to support Nokia’s new “Connect With Music” service. Connect With Music offers one year of unlimited access to the entire Nokia Music Store catalog. The 5800 XpressMusic comes with Nokia’s new “Media Bar” drop down menu which provides direct access to music and entertainment. The menu also provides links to the Internet which includes a web browser with support for flash – yes.. the 5800 XpressMusic really delivers the “full web”.
Other specs to the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic include:
- 3.2 inch touch-screen display
- Graphic Equalizer
- 8GB of memory
- 3.5 mm jack
- Built-in surround sound stereo speakers
- Contacts Bar allows users to track digital history of recent text messages, emails, phone logs, photos, and blog updates for up to four contacts on the home screen
- VGA quality video recording and playback
- 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens
- Single touch upload of images and videos to online communities
- Virtual alphanumeric keypad and QWERTY keyboard
- Pen stylus
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will be available worldwide beginning the fourth quarter of this year for a price of 279 EUR. The 5800 XpressMusic with “Comes With Music” will be available early next year.
