ASUS is out with two new ROG products… yes.. two new ROG products.

What the heck is ROG you say? Republic of Gamers of course!!! (DUH!! Actually, I had no idea either until I read the press release a bit more closely). Sooo.. these two new gamer oriented products are in fact gaming notebooks for the ASUS G series – the G71 and the G50 notebooks. The new notebooks feature the latest NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT, double SATA hard drives, full sized keyboard, gaming hotkeys, and LED lighting effects. There’s also a second display for IM’s, emails, and system status – definitely useful when you’re busy fragging your friends with the main display.

The full specs are as follows. For the G50V:
