Lenovo’s new thin and light ThinkPad X301
The ThinkPad X series got an upgrade today as Lenovo announced the new ThinkPad X301 notebook PC. Weighing in at less than 3 lbs and measuring a mere one inch thick, the X301 has the latest Intel Core 2 Duo ULV (ultra-low volt) processor, DDR3 memory, and solid state drives.
Additional features on the X301 include support for both DisplayPort and VGA, a 13.3 inch LED backlit display, and an ultra-thin DVD burner. Connectivity wise, you’ll have plenty of options here. The X301 comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support but also provides optional AT&T mobile broadband support. Later this year, you’ll also find models with support for WiMAX. There will also be GPS models with mobile broadband support for mobile road warriors.
The new ThinkPad X301 will come out on August 26th with prices starting at $2599.
